Sync AirBnB and VRBO Calendars

Do you list your units on Airbnb, VRBO, Expedia, or booking.com? Read on.

Wouldn’t it be horrible if a guest booked a cabin over July 4th on VRBO, and before you could block it out in CabinKey, someone reserved the same unit in CabinKey over the Fourth as well? What a nightmare. Someone is going to be disappointed.

You can synchronize availability between CabinKey and third party sites like Airbnb, VRBO, Expedia, and booking.com.

Example: Set up your Airbnb listing

  1. Go to Airbnb
  2. Find your listing
  3. Go to Pricing and Availability
  4. Go to the Calendar Sync section
  5. Click on the Export Calendar link as seen in the image below

A screen will pop up showing your Airbnb iCalendar link for that listing.

Click the link and select Copy (right click will usually bring up the menu to copy)

Export AirBnB Calendar
Export AirBnB Calendar

In CabinKey

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Go to Units
  3. Select the unit that corresponds to your Airbnb listing
  4. Scroll down to the Calendar Synchronization section as seen in the image below
Import AirBnB Calendar
Import AirBnB Calendar
  1. Enter “Airbnb” in the Label field (any label will do)
  2. Paste the Airbnb iCalendar link in the Calendar URL field
  3. Select a color if you so desire
  4. Click Save

Now your Airbnb listings will start showing up as Blackouts for that Unit. Just another way CabinKey is saving you time and simplifying your vacation rental business.

Note: Synchronization currently only runs once an hour.
